Trump Delivers Message of Strength and Prosperity
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D., issued a statement after President Donald J. Trump delivered his annual State of the Union Address to Congress tonight:
“Promises made, promises kept. While Democrats have spent the last year pushing hoaxes and impeachment, President Trump has delivered. Since assuming office, the President has led the American economy to historic low unemployment, increased wages for all Americans, negotiated four major trade deals for farmers, implemented common sense measures to reduce the soaring cost of health care and prescription drugs, and built more than 100 miles of border wall,” said Rep. Marshall. “Tonight’s address to Congress and the American people made clear President Trump is laser-focused on continuing to strengthen American families, promoting our interests abroad, and further ushering our great nation into an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity.”
Since President Trump’s 2016 election, seven million new jobs have been created in America, including 500,000 in the manufacturing industry. The unemployment rate is at a 50-year low, with African-American and Hispanic-American unemployment rates reaching the lowest levels on record.
