Marshall Supports Executive Order on Visas
WASHINGTON – Earlier today, President Trump announced he would be signing an executive order suspending the issuance of certain temporary work visas through the end of the year to allow American workers the opportunity to find new employment opportunities, especially amid the rise in unemployment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I support President Trump’s executive order,” said U.S. Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D. “As we continue to rebuild our economy and get people back to work, we must continue to prioritize American workers. Now more than ever, we need to give Kansans the opportunity to find meaningful employment and earn a paycheck to support their families. I am glad to see the President is allowing for some exemptions for our legal farm workers and others that are vital to the Kansas economy and our nation’s food supply."
