Marshall Statement on Phase 4 Coronavirus Legislation
House Democrats on Friday passed an 1,800-page phase 4 coronavirus bill only days after it was finalized and with zero input from Republicans or the White House.
U.S. Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D. issued the following statement:
“Unlike Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, I have been focused on how we safely and responsibly reopen Kansas and get our economy back up and running, rather than writing political messaging bills,” said Rep. Marshall. “House Democrats’ latest coronavirus bill is nothing more than a liberal wish list. It disincentivizes work, funds Planned Parenthood, prohibits voter ID requirements nationwide, and would allow for economic impact payments to be provided to illegal immigrants. This bill is a farce, I call on Democrats to quit the political games and join with Republicans to get serious about saving our economy.”
