Marshall named to a third committee

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, January 11, 2017, Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D., was named to a third Congressional committee - the House Small Business Committee.  He is now a member of the House Agriculture Committee, Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the House Small Business Committee.

“I am honored to be selected to join the Small Business Committee,” Congressman Marshall said. “As someone who has spent many years leading businesses in a variety of fields I look forward to adding a rural Kansas perspective to the group.”

Small Business Committee Chairman, Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH), said:

“We are pleased to welcome Congressman Roger Marshall to the House Small Business Committee for the 115th Congress. Congressman Marshall will be a great addition to our Committee and a strong advocate for Kansas small businesses, especially our nation’s small farms and other small businesses in the agriculture sector.”

The Small Business Committee has jurisdiction over matters related to small business financial aid, regulatory flexibility, and paperwork reduction.
