Marshall Leads Letter asking for Investigation into Violation of Partial Birth Abortion Ban
WASHINGTON - U.S. Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D. today sent a letter signed by 49 Members of Congress to U.S. Attorney General William Barr asking him to investigate the actions taken by physicians in a video published by the Center for Medical Progress and supporting testimony from Planned Parenthood that clearly violate the Partial Birth Abortion Ban passed by Congress in 2003.
“As a pro-life American and OB/GYN who worked for over 25 years to save the lives of both mothers and babies, it is beyond sickening to see and hear confessions of such heinous acts being committed in our country,” said U.S. Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D. “I am committed to standing up for the life of all babies, born and unborn. We must hold these physicians and the organizations backing and supporting them accountable for their actions.”
The letter, which was signed by 49 Members of Congress, asks Attorney General Barr to investigate whether the physician featured in the video and the Planned Parenthood organization violated the Partial Birth Abortion Ban by deliberately killing a partially delivered baby. The law clearly states that a physician who violates this law faces a fine or imprisonment.
