Washington D.C.- Today Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Elaine Chao selected the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) to participate in the Department’s new Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration Pilot Program. This program will pair the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), KDOT and private sector participants to collect invaluable data on how to safely integrate drones in the national airspace.
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced that they would place an additional 90-day delay on their Electronic Logging Device (ELD) rule for agricultural haulers. Congressman Marshall supports the FMCSA's decision to postpone the ELD mandate for this industry.
Livestock haulers have expressed a great deal of concern over the electronic logging system. The agency’s ELD regulation would limit a trucker's flexibility when transporting livestock.
