WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D. released the following statement on the announcement today by Spriti AeroSystems:
Kansas Representative Roger Marshall, M.D., and Representative Haley Stevens, introduced the Aeronautics Innovation Act.
This bill works to provide continuity and budget stability for U.S. aeronautics research through administration changes and political shifts in Congress. A main goal of this bill is to keep the U.S. aviation industry competitive as other countries catch up.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. has long been a leader in the aerospace sector, and the state of Kansas has played a vital role in the industry’s development and long-term success. From manufacturing to innovation, aviation has been a backbone of the state’s economy and growth.
WASHINGTON D.C- Congressman Marshall has successfully led an effort to protect vulnerable patients from abusive behavior by air ambulance companies. In both Kansas and across the country emergency patients are being slammed with crippling and unforeseen bills from air ambulance companies who refuse to contract with the most common health insurance providers.
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Marshall welcomed the announcement by the Department of Transportation (DOT) that $7.4 million worth of grants will be awarded to Kansas First District Airports.
Washington D.C.- Today Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Elaine Chao selected the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) to participate in the Department’s new Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration Pilot Program. This program will pair the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), KDOT and private sector participants to collect invaluable data on how to safely integrate drones in the national airspace.
